Sylvester is a province and one of the Lands of Septempontia.
Name
Sylvester's name was first decided upon in the mid-2000s, from the combination of the Latin sylvestris "of the forest" along with Old Triparik vest "west" and Germanic -er "further", hence "the forests to the west".
For a number of years in the 2010s, Sylvester was known as Etvald, an agglomeration of Old Triparik etwô "water" and Triparic vald "forest", but was restored to its old name by the Landsrið on 11 January 2017.
Arms
Vert, the silhouette of a stag salient, within an orle argent.
The green field represents the forest. The stag and orle, both silver, refer to the common White-tailed deer and the clear waters of the province.
