Sylvester is a province and one of the Lands of Septempontia.
Name
Sylvester's name was first decided upon in the mid-2000s, from the combination of the Latin sylvestris "of the forest" along with Old Triparik vest "west" and Germanic -er "further", hence "the forests to the west".
For a number of years Sylvester was known as Etvald, an agglomeration of Old Triparik etwô "water" and Triparic vald "forest".

Vert, the silhouette of a stag salient, within an orle argent.
The green field represents the forest. The stag and orle, both silver, refer to the common White-tailed deer and the clear waters of the province.
