The flag of Septempontia between 2004 and 2008 was different than the modern flag. The flag displayed a blue pall ("Y" shape) running horizontally, representing the rivers of the Empire, and most especially the Three Rivers of Pittsburgh. Over the pall was placed the shield of the Empire's coat of arms, depicting a bridge with six arches and seven piers, with water flowing beneath it and a crescent moon above it.
