Butler Service Plaza was the most western westbound service plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It closed in 2002 to make way for the construction project which created the Warrendale Toll Plaza, where travelers pay their last measured toll heading westbound before reaching Ohio.
The last stop before Ohio for a westbound traveler who does not wish to leave the Turnpike is now New Stanton Service Plaza, a full 81 miles from the next plaza (Mahoning Valley Service Plaza in Ohio). Butler Service Plaza was only 31 miles from Ohio.
